We can’t give you an exact answer. But if you are in a time crunch then it’s probably not the best day to visit. There are many factors to take into consideration. Remember today is about the dogs. We take time with each dog to give them the best introduction to the ranch. Every dog is different, and we can’t predict what the needs of every dog will be. It also depends on how many other people are visiting and the needs of their dogs.
a. We’ll meet you and your dog in the driveway and go over some basic “getting to know you” info about the dogs. Please have your completed Pet/Owner Information sheet with you if you have not already emailed it to the office. b. Your dog will then be taken out to meet some other dogs. c. You will get to view the premises on a guided tour. If a tour is already in progress you might have to wait a few minutes until we can begin the next one. d. After your tour someone will come out and give you feedback on your dog’s time in the yard. e. If everyone is happy, you are more than welcome to schedule boarding or daycare.
If possible, we ask that you leave children at home. We understand that this is not always possible so please remember Bone a Fide is a place for dogs. Make sure to always keep your child under control and with you. Just because your dog loves children it doesn’t mean every dog does.
No, that sounds very scary!! We simply want to meet your dog and make sure they will be happy in our environment.
When you arrive let us know your concerns and we will do everything we can to help your dog’s introduction be as smooth as possible. Please have patience, sometimes it might take a little longer. Today is about your dog’s comfort and that is who we are focusing on.
Please keep in mind there will be boarding dogs on the property. We limit our visit hours because we need to minimize the disruption to dogs currently on the property. The safety, comfort and fun of our overnight guests are still our top priority. You will get to see most of the property, and you will be able to view your dogs from a distance. Because you will not be at the ranch when your dog boards, we don’t mind if you sneak a peek at them but we don’t want them to see you.
Yes! In fact, please do not leave without this important feedback. This information will help you decide if Bone a Fide is the right fit for you and your dog.
Absolutely NOT. If you are nervous your dog will be nervous. Every single member of the staff are dog lovers to their core. Today is all about your dog. While we take our jobs seriously, a big part is to make sure the dogs have some serious fun! Please relax and keep in mind there is no such thing as a “perfect” dog. They are all perfect in their own special way.
